DELIVERY & SHIPPING POLICY

This Delivery & Shipping Policy explains how TerraBox AB delivers container houses, how responsibilities are allocated, and what customers should prepare before delivery. It forms an integral part of our purchase agreement and Terms & Conditions.

1. Delivery Scope

TerraBox AB delivers container houses under DAP (Delivered At Place) terms to the customer’s site, excluding foundation works and building permits.

Delivery includes:

  • International and domestic transport to the agreed delivery address
  • Unloading of the container house onto the ground to a maximum height of 50 cm, provided the site is accessible by truck

Crane services or lifting beyond 50 cm can be arranged by the customer or by TerraBox AB for an additional fee, subject to prior agreement.

2. Estimated Delivery Time

Standard Models

For standard container house models, delivery typically occurs within 10–16 weeks from production start. This estimate depends on production scheduling, shipping conditions, customs clearance, and site readiness.

Custom-Designed Projects

For custom-designed container houses, delivery time depends on the scope of customization, engineering requirements, material availability, and logistics.

An estimated delivery timeline will be provided to the customer and must be approved before production begins. Once production has started, deposits are no longer refundable.

3. Site Requirements & Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is fully prepared before the scheduled delivery date.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • All required building permits and approvals
  • Foundation and groundworks suitable for the container house
  • Clear and safe access for delivery trucks
  • Compliance with local regulations and zoning requirements

If the container house is unloaded directly onto a foundation — whether from the truck or using a crane — the customer is solely responsible for the structural integrity, accuracy, and load-bearing capacity of the foundation.

4. Unloading & Risk Transfer

TerraBox AB is responsible for unloading the container house onto the ground (up to 50 cm) where truck access is possible.

Risk transfers to the customer after unloading has been completed.

From that point onward, the customer is responsible for:

  • Foundation placement
  • Crane lifting and positioning beyond ground unloading
  • Protection of the container house from damage or theft

5. Delays, Inaccessibility & Additional Costs

If delivery or unloading is delayed or cannot be completed due to circumstances attributable to the customer, additional costs may apply.

Such circumstances include, but are not limited to:

  • Incomplete or unsuitable foundation
  • Lack of permits or approvals
  • Insufficient site access for delivery vehicles
  • Absence of the customer or authorized representative at delivery

Additional costs may include:

  • Waiting time
  • Storage fees
  • Re-delivery costs
  • Additional transport or handling charges

These costs shall be borne by the customer.

6. Shipping Delays & Force Majeure

TerraBox AB shall not be liable for delivery delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Port congestion or customs delays
  • Shipping disruptions
  • Strikes, labor disputes, or transportation shortages
  • War, sanctions, or governmental actions
  • Natural disasters or extreme weather
  • Supplier or manufacturing disruptions

7. Inspection Upon Delivery

The customer must inspect the container house upon delivery and unloading.

Any visible damage or discrepancies must be documented and reported in writing without undue delay. Failure to do so may affect the ability to claim transport-related damages.

8. Coordination & Communication

TerraBox AB will coordinate delivery logistics with the customer in advance. The customer is responsible for maintaining up-to-date contact information and responding promptly to delivery-related communications.

9. Governing Law

This Delivery & Shipping Policy is governed by Swedish law. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the English version shall prevail.
