BUYER PROTECTION & PURCHASE PROCESS
Purchasing a container house is a significant investment. TerraBox AB is committed to transparency, buyer safety, and full compliance with EU consumer protection laws. This page explains how our purchase process works and how your interests are protected at every stage.
1. Clear Purchase Structure
TerraBox offers both standard container house models and custom-designed projects. The purchase process differs slightly depending on the level of customization.
Standard Models
- Online booking fee (typically 10%) to reserve production capacity
- Design confirmation and technical review
- Production start after confirmation
- Subsequent deposits according to agreed milestones
- Final payment after on-site assembly is completed
Custom Projects
- Initial inquiry and consultation
- Design proposal and quotation
- Design approval by the customer
- Production start after signed agreement and deposit
- Final payment after on-site assembly is completed
2. Booking Fees & Deposits
The booking fee secures production capacity and initiates planning and engineering work.
- The booking fee is normally 10% of the total price
- The booking fee becomes non-refundable once production has started or after 14 days, whichever comes first
- Subsequent deposits may be refundable only under specific conditions, as defined in the signed agreement
- Final payment is due after on-site assembly, unless otherwise agreed in writing
3. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with EU consumer protection law:
- Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for standard models until production has started
- No right of withdrawal applies once production has started
- Custom-designed container houses are exempt from the right of withdrawal once the design has been approved
This exemption applies because customized container houses are manufactured according to the customer’s specific requirements.
4. Secure Payments
TerraBox AB uses established and secure payment providers:
- Stripe
- Klarna
- PayPal
- Bank transfer
All online payments are encrypted and processed by the respective payment provider. TerraBox AB never stores full payment card details.
5. Production Transparency
Customers receive clear documentation throughout the process, which may include:
- Design drawings and floor plans
- Technical specifications
- Production updates when applicable
- Delivery and assembly coordination
6. Delivery & Assembly
Container houses are delivered under DAP (Delivered At Place) terms to the customer’s site, excluding crane services and foundation work.
- Transportation to the agreed site is included
- The customer is responsible for permits, foundation, and site preparation
- On-site assembly is coordinated according to the agreed scope

Warranty terms are detailed in the Warranty Policy.
