WARRANTY & DEFECTS POLICY

This Warranty & Defects Policy explains the warranty coverage provided by TerraBox AB and how defects are handled. It forms an integral part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to all container houses supplied by TerraBox AB.


1. Warranty Overview

TerraBox AB warrants that the container house supplied is manufactured in accordance with agreed specifications and applicable standards at the time of delivery.

Warranty coverage is provided as follows:

  • Structural frame: 5 years
  • Manufacturing defects: 2 years
  • Components and appliances: Covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty

2. What the Warranty Covers

The warranty covers defects that:

  • Are caused by manufacturing or material faults
  • Existed at the time of delivery
  • Occur under normal and intended use

TerraBox AB may, at its discretion, repair, replace, or remedy defective parts covered by this warranty.

3. Structural Warranty

The structural frame warranty covers defects that compromise the load-bearing integrity of the container house under normal use.

The structural warranty does not cover:

  • Foundation or groundworks
  • Incorrect placement or leveling
  • Structural issues caused by an inadequate or faulty foundation
  • Modifications performed by the customer or third parties

4. Exclusions & Limitations

The warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Improper use or lack of maintenance
  • Alterations or repairs not approved by TerraBox AB
  • Environmental factors such as corrosion, humidity, flooding, or extreme weather
  • Fire, accidents, or external impact
  • Transportation or handling after risk transfer
  • Customer-provided foundations or site conditions

5. Inspection & Reporting of Defects

The customer must inspect the container house upon delivery and unloading.

Any visible defects or damage must be reported in writing without undue delay.

Hidden defects must be reported as soon as they are discovered.

Failure to report defects within a reasonable time may affect warranty coverage.

6. Remedy Procedure

Upon receiving a valid warranty claim, TerraBox AB will:

  • Assess the reported defect
  • Determine whether it is covered by the warranty
  • Propose an appropriate remedy

Remedies may include repair, replacement, or other corrective actions at TerraBox AB’s discretion.

7. Limitation of Liability

TerraBox AB’s liability under this warranty is limited to the remedy of the defect itself.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of income, profit, or use
  • Costs arising from third-party services

Total liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the affected container house.

8. Business Customers (B2B)

For business customers, warranty rights may be limited or modified as specified in the agreed contract.

9. Governing Law

This Warranty & Defects Policy is governed by Swedish law. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the English version shall prevail.
